A new shy guy has taken up residency at Drusillas Park. Ascarii, the fennec fox arrived from the Czech Republic at the beginning of June. Since then, the bashful young fox has been getting acquainted with Mali, a female from Augsburg Zoo in Germany.
Over the next few months, the two foxes will be looked after behind the scenes at the Park while they settle into their new surroundings and complete the required period in quarantine. They will take their place along the zoo route later this year, when there is no doubt this paw-fect new pair will become a huge hit with both staff and visitors.

When zoo explorers venture down to Parrot Falls they’ll be sure of a big surprise.
The popular parrot aviary has been revamped and the current residents have welcomed some new feathered friends under their wing, including two blue and gold macaws, three bare eyed cockatoos and two blue fronted Amazon parrots.
These brightly coloured birds come to Drusillas from Leeds Castle and are sure to soar into the affections of our visitors.

The warmer weather always heralds the arrival of some new baby bundles of fur and feathers and this year is no exception.
Amongst the new arrivals are two fluffy penguin chicks, a saki monkey baby, a cheeky little Geoffroy's marmoset, an emperor tamarin baby and cotton-topped tamarin twins. Make sure to have a peep next time you are passing.
